HANDS ON HISTORY – Utah – Spring Semester 2025 2-2:50pm

SKU HOH-2023-1 Categories ,

Have you ever wondered what life was really like in the 1800’s for the Utah Pioneers? This Hands-On-History class is set in a “pioneer house” style classroom with lots of interactive activities, crafts, weapon building, cooking, toys, games, and more. Learn history while “living it” in this fun, exciting, and educational class. We will focus on the years the Pioneers first came to Utah and travel through time to the year 1900. We will learn what world events, State of Utah events, and local Davis County events were taking place during these times as if we were really living it. Some hands-on class activities will include; cooking like a pioneer, learning pioneer parlor games, pioneer chores, hand dipping candles, making butter, mastering a slingshot, finding natural remedies for sickness, and visiting our local “post office/general store” for needed supplies. This is such a fun way to learn about history. Recommended Ages; 8 – 14
