Frequently Asked Questions

Classes are taught live with the teacher using Zoom.  All classes are “hands on” with work being completed during class time.  Parents should encourage students to practice in between classes because it helps students progress more quickly.

Yes, one subscription covers everyone in your household.  If we determine that a class size warrants it, we reserve the right to limit each subscription to one device connection.

We record many sessions and make them available on our website to current members.  If you miss a class, students can watch the most recently recorded class or choose from one a previous class to watch.

We don’t have samples of our zoom recording for student privacy.  But, we do have some free 10 minute art lessons you’re welcome to watch.

After registering, and prior to each class, you will receive an email with a link to the Zoom classroom.  To maximize your student’s experience, make sure they have a video camera and microphone connected to their device running Zoom.

No, supplies are generally not included in the registration fee.

For math classes, the IXL app is included in the registration fee.  The Prodigy Game app is free and has an optional upgrade for a fee.

We provide links to our recommended supplies for each class on your account page.  Of course, you’re welcome to find supplies from any source you prefer.

The IXL app and the optional Prodigy Game app are both aligned with common core.  Our lessons are built to work in tandem with the IXL lessons, so the concepts align with most state’s common core programs.
